Secured vs. Unsecured There are two essential types of business loans, secured and unsecured. Secured means that you can place an asset as collateral for the loan and will result in a much reduced rate of interest because of the reduced risk profile experienced by the lender.
Revolving Credit If you already have a business running and want to either expand or open another business you can use the existing company's credit history to apply for a revolving credit loan which will lower your interest payable and also give you the benefit of having running capital buffers when starting the new business.
Service vs. Cheap Rates Most of the time business owners would look for the cheapest form of financing at all costs. This may not be the smartest move as sometimes giving a bit back in terms of interest rates can give you so much more. Lenders that don't give the best rates normally compensate by giving very good customer service and if you are new to the business of new to running a business then the extra customer service could be well worth the few points of interest per year. |
